Seperate MWUP MWDN Scroll Delay Options? Idea for future update if possible?

Post by Jimm0thy »

XMBC Version:
Version 2.20.5

Installed or Portable version:
Installed

Windows Version:
Windows 11 Update 24H2 64bit

Mouse Information (brand/model):
Logitech G502 X / Firmware on logitech, dongle and mouse are all updated

Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc):
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700F 2.10 GHz, 16 GB DDR5 (2 x 8 GB) 5200 MHz

Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): No Problem, more of an idea, I came here searching for a way to either get multiple scrolls to count as 1 scroll, or a delay, and found out this app has the delay and I got it timed pretty damn close on my game I'm using it for, but the "ignore repeated remapped vertical scroll" scroll time out throws off the other direction as well, so when i switch scrolls the other one has a "ignore repeated remapped vertical scroll" time out and I don't want that, and its just the opposite direction. Would there be a way to do a time out for WHEELUP and one for WHEELDWN separately?

or if there is a way to make multiple repeated actions (scroll down or up) count as 1 and have it reset after a certain amount of ms.

How long have you used XMBC?:
Maybe 3 Hours of reading and figuring out timing.

What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?:

English

Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).: Just a suggestion unless what I asked above is possible as the application is?

Hi, thanks for the question/feedback.
Im not sure if the ignore remapped can actually tell the difference in the direction right now. Im mean, in theory of course it can, but I suspect the timer is just watching for scroll messages and not the "additional data" that defines the direction.

I will certainly add it to the bug list - and see if there is anything that I can do to see how I can make that work, but beware, my issues list is quite long and I cant promise any quick fix here! I'm currently trying to get v2.21 out - after that this will be on the cards to get looked into!
