XMBC Version: 2.20.4
Installed or Portable version:Installed version on d drive.
Windows Version: Win11 22H2 build 22621.1992
Mouse Information (brand/model): Euro Games 7 button wireless mouse.
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc): i5 9th gen 16 gb
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): No.
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?): No
How long have you used XMBC?: many years.
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: English.

Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).:

I've some 9 profiles set on Layer1. Layer 2 is mostly blank, except for 1 test button change function.
My problem is that I can't remain on Layer2, as soon as I activate layer2 thru Windows Taskbar Tray> Xmouse button> Right Click on xmouse icon> Layers> Layer2, it immediately shows a windows baloon notification and goes back to Layer1.

If I swap layers (i.e make 'Layer2' as 'Layer1' and vice-versa in the xmouse interface), then also it remains on Layer1 only. I've checked that 'Switch to' option in 'Layer2' tab is set to 'Disable' and time is set by me to '15 seconds' (although i understand that when 'Disable' switching is selected, the time setting is immaterial).

Kindly guide.

Very odd - its not doing that here.
Can you enable debug logging (settings -> logging & updates tab) then OK / Apply that.
Then switch to layer 2 and then send me a copy of the debug log - it might tell me why its gone back to layer 1 (even without the layer reset timer set).

Regards,
Phil
