Anyone want to test v2.1 (Beta)?

I have a taskbar profile which uses the middle click mouse button to activate task manager, all the other buttons are set to same as default. Looks like Aero peek works fine now that profile's deleted.

As for unchecking "enable profile switching on mouse move" in the settings, it completely disables XMBC on my Win7x64, the program itself is NOT disabled, layer 1 is shown as active in the tray icon but XMBC just behaves as if the program itself is disabled when that setting is unchecked.

Hummm, not a problem here (win7 x64). That has never been a problem (and we paid quite a lot of attention to that area when testing v2.0). What profiles do you have?

And what does this mean "Disable "enable profile switching..." completely disable XMBC" ?

OK well thats what beta testing is a ll about - looks like I completely broke it lol.

OK Well I cant reproduce this aero peek problem. Maybe you could PM me a copy of your XML settings file (or export all you profiles so I can import them and see if there is something in that).

I have however found and fixed the problem that broke XMBC when change on mouse over was disabled. It seems I broke it in beta 3 lol.

PS. Did the aero peak thing ever work (in v2.0 onwards?)

I have now made available 2.1 Beta 6
It has the following changes from beta 5:

• Fixed VS2010 (WPF windows) scrolling floating windows.
• Fixed problem with XMBC not detecting active profile when not in "mouse over" mode.

The link in the first post has been updated.

Once again, please give it a test and see if it works as required (and that I haven't broken anything obvious!).

Well, in some ways it's good that yOu can't reproduce it but I didn't make any changes in that area today so on the flip side, there may be a mysterious bug that comes and goes... Which No one wants ;(

I hope that it was a genuine non-issue and no further action is necessary but keep an eye on it just incase!

Well, this time it seems that you've outperformed the nerds at Microsoft. Even without an application-specific profile, VS2010 scrolls as it should. It also scrolls it's "attach-to-process"-list.

One more thing. What does not work is horizontal scrolling by tilting my mouse's scroll wheel - that results in vertical scrolling, although XMBC correctly detects it. Oh I will fix the horizontal, if not for you then for me - I don't believe I missed that lol - it works horizontally when its active, and it was working previously so I've clearly called the wrong function or something (in fact I think that's exactly what I have done ).

It has the following changes from beta 6:

• Fixed horizontal scrolling in VS2010 (WPF windows).
• Fixed simulated keys in the default profile which should ignore the "Only send when active" option.

I hope this is the final beta and that I can push out v2.1 final sometime this week, so if you do notice anything broken, let me know ASAP.

• Fixed horizontal scrolling for window under cursor.
• Updated user docs for new advanced scroll method'
• Modified installation to wait a little longer before replacing files during upgrade.

• Fixed Sim keys 'during' not working as expected, i.e. not holding the keys down in some cases.

I'm not intending making any more changes, unless the change I made fails testing, this will be the final beta (fingers crossed). So if you notice anything broken, let me know ASAP. Maybe this time I can close all the tests
