version 1.53 icon
With version 1.53, although I have unchecked in Settings "Show tray icon by default", the icon still shows up in the tray.

Thanks for the info I will take a look - sounds like a bug.
Im in the middle of some quite big chnages to XMBC gui and functions so I dont know how quickly I can push out an update on this.
