Please, more buttons!

Post by Hale »

I have Elecom BT mouse with 4 buttons and tilt(+2 buttons)

The broblem, 4th button is unknown to XMouse, but very well known to Windows.

Although it is called "cpi", in win7 it affects as ALT-TAB manager.

That is with Microsoft HID driver.
More to this, using Elecom's driver mouse button numbers grow higher.

That way current XMouse interface couldn't be configured for extra buttons well.

Can you please add support for more botons. Or in ideal case - unknown buttons scanning, i.e. the same way as keycode scan if it is possible.

Please read the FAQ. It explains why XMBC only supports 5 buttons.

It sounds like this 4th button you have is not a mouse button at all but some sort of key injector - esp. if it sends ALT-TAB. This is beyond the remit of XMBC which deals with windows mouse messgaes, not keyboard messages, in order to remap them.

If the button does not send a mouse message recognised by windows, there is no way I can re map it. Sorry about that.

You might be better off looking at something like Autohotkey.

Thanks,
Phil
