Some advanced settings missing from documentation; performance implications of "Ignore mouse events from touch" setting

Post by PhilRocks »

How long have you used XMBC?: Since the days of the abacus.

Hi Phil. I was going through XMBC settings, and I noticed that the documentation / user guide at https://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/X-Mouse Button Control User Guide.pdf is missing explanations of several of the Advanced Settings. Thought you may appreciate the heads up.

On that topic, does enabling/disabling "Ignore mouse events from touch" have any performance (CPU, memory, etc.) impact if you're not using a touch screen?

I did not write the user guide, and as such, whilst I can update it, its not really something I think about. Its missing LOADS of little bits and pieces, probably about 10 years out of date minimum - I tried to add the big new features but thats about it.

As to the question... I don't know for sure (I cant remember exactly what it does), I will have to go dig through the code (which I cant do right now as I'm at work, and away for the next few days), but I very much doubt it would have any impact if its never going to receive such messages!!
