Delay before horizontal scrolling

Post by tibinet »

Please fill in this template when posting!
XMBC Version: 2.20.5
Installed or Portable version: Installed
Windows Version: 11
Mouse Information (brand/model): TECKNET rechargeable ergonomic mouse
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc): Intel VPro, 32GB
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): No
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?): No
How long have you used XMBC?: 2 days
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: US International

Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).:

I have installed XMBC and set up the horizontal scroll on the wheel button as follows:
1. For Middle button I've choose: Button Held.
2. In Button Held...Actions window I've choose: Change Movement to Scroll.
3. In Movement to Scroll Configuration I've set Lock to X axis...

The horizontal scroll works well, however I have to wait for changing the cursor to hand some delay (maybe 1-2 seconds).
Is there any way to change the behaviour that the horizontal scroll will be immediate after pressing the scroll button? Maybe some delay to set up? I cannot find something like that.
Thanks a lot.

Button Held is intended to allow you to perform different actions depending on how long you hold the button for. Hence the delay (I suspect). Are you using it that way, or do you just want the button to do the scrolling and nothing else, in which case, skip button held and go straight for change movement to scroll on that button?

Hi Phil. I need the setting only for horizontal scrolling, nothing else.
I tried what you propose and it works! Thanks a lot
