Installed or Portable version: installed
Windows Version: 11
Mouse Information (brand/model): trackpad
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc):
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): no
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?): no
How long have you used XMBC?: more than a year
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: several

Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).: I have enabled "scroll in pages" and it works perfectly with my mouse wheel. Unfortunately, my trackpad also scrolls in pages which is awkward. Is there a way to apply scroll in pages ONLY to the external mouse?

Sorry, no at the moment XMBC uses mouse message hooks which give no indication the the device sending the message so it has no idea which device the messages it intercepts come from!

Sorry!

You're right, the same issue occurs when I select the same option in Windows settings. Lousy Windows. :x

I have another question regarding this matter: I've noticed that I can choose the 'scroll N lines with the wheel' option from both the Windows settings and XMBC, allowing me to set different values in each. I'm curious to know which value takes precedence and overrides the other?

XMBC is just changing that windows setting behind the scenes - so its the same thing. But XMBC allows it to be changed dynamically, per profile, giving more configuration than Windows does.
