XMBC Version: 2.20.4
Installed or Portable version: Installed
Windows Version: Windows 10
Mouse Information (brand/model): ViewSonic TD2223 Touchscreen monitor
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc): N/A
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): No
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?): No
How long have you used XMBC?: Just started
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: English

Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).: I have a touchscreen monitor and touching the screen creates touch events, not mouse click events. Can XMBC detect touch events and convert them to mouse events?

If I touch and drag my finger, XMBC detects it as a mouse click and hold. If I just touch and release, XMBC does not appear to detect anything. If I touch and hold(without moving) XMBC also doesn't detect anything.

No, XMBC has no support for touchscreens - whatever it does, must be because the touchscreen is somehow sending "mouse" messages through the windows message hook system (Im a little surprised by that) but certainly nothing in XMBC specifically for touch.
