Slow Cursor Issue

Post by mgilbert »

XMBC Version: 2.20
Installed or Portable version: Installed
Windows Version: 11 22H2
Mouse Information (brand/model): Kensington Expert Mouse (Trackball)
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc): 5800X, 32 GB
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): From 2.19 to 2.20
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?): No
How long have you used XMBC?: Years
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: English

I have XMBC set up to slow the cursor when Win/Alt are pressed. This has always worked. It works now, but when I release Win/Alt the cursor starts moving very fast, and the only way to stop it is to close and reopen XMBC

That's odd, I just checked here, and it slows down, but then returns to the previous speed for me.
It might be useful to turn on debug logging (OK/Apply that), then perform the key combo to slow down, release (to speed back up) and, assuming it went wrong again and went too fast, send me the log file. Also, what is your default pointer speed set to in Windows (that's what it *should* go back to!).

Regards,
Phil
