How do I simulate number presses? I only see an option for keypad numbers and not top row numbers.

Just needed assistance on how to simulate the top row numbers and not keypad ones. Reason for this is because I'm doing a lot of math work that needs exponents a lot and I want to bind the shortcut for exponents to my mouse button 5. The exponent button is 6 on the top row, so the keypad numbers aren't needed in my situation.

Do you mean just send the number 6? or ^?
Simply type 6 in to the simkey sequence - if you wanted to send the number pad keys you have to do special things {NUM6} but the normal number keys, 6 on its own should do it!

And if you want to send ^ (shift + 6) you would do {shift}6

Wow, this whole time I thought I had to put the 6 in brackets too. You just made my work so much easier. Thank you so much. Happy holidays!

Hello.
How about tilde key „~”? There is no option to automatically set it for any of the mouse buttons and if I type it {~} it does not work. Any tips, pleeeease?

Firstly, you have broken the forum rules by using someone else's thread - please in the future read and follow the posting rules!

The tilde ~~~~ key on my keyboard is SHIFT+#
I don't know about your keyboard but in my case, {shift}# works. XMBC sends keys using keyboard codes and thus if you have to press shift on your keyboard to produce a key, you will also have to simulate shift before sending the key code.

Hello Phil, sorry for using this thread i didn’t want to make spam with (in my opinion) related topic.
I will check shift as you suggested and see if it solves the problem.

Thanks!
