SHA256 compatibility for RS4 and above
SHA256 compatibility for RS4 and above
As part of the Win 10 RS4 requirements, we are observing that Microsoft WHQL is not honoring this driver file as it is only SHA1 signed. We suspect in future RS releases of MS example RS5 and further, SHA1 since deprecated the certificate would be invalid. Please let us know if you have plans to provide driver compatible (SHA256 signed).
Re: SHA256 compatibility for RS4 and above
sorry, I do not have the capabilities of signing drivers.
It is impossible for a hobbyist (not a company) to even buy such certificates even if I could justify the hundreds of dollars, which I cant!
The current driver was signed (many years ago) by a friendly user (breaking all the rules no doubt). I have never had this capability.
Regards,
Phil
