Hi,

Firstly, this probably should have been a new topic, and should have followed the new post template (please read the rules next time :))
I think this boils down to a single question:
"What is wrong with this simkey "{release}{shift}{del}", it does not work?"

Which would have been immediately easy to spot :) You are asking XMBC to release shift & delete... So what presses it? How can you release a key without pressing a key?

I suspect what you want is "{shift}{del}" and method 2 (On button release)

'{release}' is meant to be used AFTER '{press}' to ensure a key is released and not left in limbo, (in a complex/method 3 simkey sequence).
