4th/5th Buttons Not Highlighting

Post by EvnM89 »

Hey guys,

XMBC is not recognizing my 4th and 5th Mouse buttons, but Is recognizing all other buttons (including the scroll wheel). When I click either of them, they do not highlight the drop down boxes. I have read elsewhere here that it typically means there is a problem with the drivers for the mouse. In my case, this doesn't seem to make sense, because both buttons are causing the following to happen: When I am operating any window, the 4th and 5th buttons just downsize the window and move it from the left to the right side of the screen and back.

I am running Windows 7 via Parallels 8 on a Mac Book Pro which has OSX 7 10.7.5

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Evan

Yes, your VM software does not support 4th and 5th mouse buttons?

Do the buttons work in explorer/IE as back/forward (thats the default with the generic driver and no software like XMBC in place). If not then the chances are Windows is not getting the 4th/5th buttons from your emulated hardware device.

(I presume parallels is VM software?)

It works for me using VMWare on Windows but I cant speak for Parallels as I don't have a mac.

Thanks,
Phil
