OK, here is XMBC v2.11 Beta 11.

If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install. Otherwise, you can get the full installation beta HERE.

Changes since v2.11 Beta 10:
  • #318 - XMBC loads US English even when US International is set
  • #319 - On non-96 DPI displays, the mouse-over does not hit the correct window marks
Any problems, PM me a copy of the log file (or post a snippet in a code block here).
Any crashes, please PM me a copy of the XMBCExceptionNNN.log file!

There are no new translations in this version.

Thanks,
Phil

OK, here is XMBC v2.11 Beta 12.

If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install. Otherwise, you can get the full installation beta HERE.

Changes since v2.11 Beta 11:
  • #320 - Volume OSD stops working after audio device is changed.
  • Fixed a few stability issues and memory leaks introduce in various 2.11 beta's
I'm looking to try and release 2.11 this week as it has lots of updates and fixes that will benefit Windows 10 users, and hey if Microsoft can release Windows 10 when its still a bit iffy, then I can do the same :) But I hope 2.11 beta 12 is pretty stable - please let me know!

Any problems, PM me a copy of the log file (or post a snippet in a code block here).
Any crashes, please PM me a copy of the XMBCExceptionNNN.log file!

Bug: Y-Axis Click-Drag broken in beta

Post by Ville »

Hi Phil,

The beta 13 has the Sticky Left Button [Click-Drag] Y-Axis (and probably X-Axis) broken (when activated, the mouse cursor doesn't move anywhere). I'm not sure if this issue was introduced in one of the betas or in the 2.11 branch. I just went back to 2.10.2, and it's working ok.

Thanks for the continued developmenet of one of my favorite tools! :cheers:

OK, here is XMBC v2.11 Beta 14 = so much for releasing in time for Windows 10!.

If you have check for beta versions enabled, you should get notified of a new version and prompted to update in the next day or so. This is the most efficient method (bandwidth wise) as the updates are only a fraction of the size of the full install. Otherwise, you can get the full installation beta HERE.

Changes since v2.11 Beta 13:
  • #321 - Fixed bug with stick lock axis and movement to scroll related to changes for DPI fixes (#319)
    Now XMBC runs in Per-Monitor DPI Awareness mode which should fix all DPI related issues
    (except the display will be a bit small on high DPI - that's too bad for now)
Please pay attention to things on different DPI displays or DPI settings other than "normal" 96DPI!

I'm looking to try and release 2.11 this week as it has lots of updates and fixes that will benefit Windows 10 users, and hey if Microsoft can release Windows 10 when its still a bit iffy, then I can do the same :) But I hope 2.11 beta is pretty stable now - please let me know!

Any problems, PM me a copy of the log file (or post a snippet in a code block here).
Any crashes, please PM me a copy of the XMBCExceptionNNN.log file!

There are no new translations in this version.

Thanks,
Phil

I just installed beta 14, and it seems to have fixed the problem! Thanks for the quick fix! :)

Strangely beta 13 did work on my workstation, but not on my laptop. Beta 14 works on both. Image

Just installed Windows 10. No wheel scrolling in new Start Menu and Edge. Where can I download beta 11?

Can anyone please verify that XMBC beta 14 is working correctly on Windows 7 for you? Someone reported a problem with a crash and with profiles not working correctly but it all seems fine here. I don't want to release if there is a major problem - but at the same time, I don't want to not release if the problem is a one-off or small!

I'm going to push another beta out (probably tomorrow) but I do want to release 2.11 ASAP now!

Thanks,
Phil

OK, here is XMBC v2.11 Beta 15.

  • #313 - Fixed another bug in Windows 10 with Virtual Desktop switch left/right actions.
  • #322 - Fixed an issue with simulated keystrokes in some games/applications which were not translated correctly on non-English keyboards
  • #323 - Added Magnifier Zoom In/Out actions which will open the magnifier tool if it is not already open!
I'm looking to try and release 2.11 ASAP as it has lots of updates and fixes that will benefit Windows 10 users, and hey if Microsoft can release Windows 10 when its still a bit iffy, then I can do the same :) But I hope 2.11 beta is pretty stable now - please let me know!

Any problems, PM me a copy of the log file (or post a snippet in a code block here).
Any crashes, please PM me a copy of the XMBCExceptionNNN.log file!

There are three new translations in this version - thanks for all the updated translation files!

Code: Select all

"Task View" => ""				#Was "Desktop Switcher"
# -- Added in 2.10 Beta 15
"Magnifier Zoom In" => ""
"Magnifier Zoom Out" => ""
