I have defined global hotkeys to switch to Layer 2 and to Layer 1 respectively. I also have modifier keys defined. When using the global hotkey to switch to Layer 2, the mouse tray icon appears, indicating the selected layer. But now, I'm not able to access the app menu anymore using the right mouse button; nothing happens. Even when I switch back to Layer 1 with my global hotkey, I'm still not able to access the XMBC menu.
Only after applying the modifier key for Layer 2 does the icon seem to react again. The only other way would be killing the process and restarting it.
Any explanation for this behaviour?
Best,
Russell

Re: Tray icon disabled after switching layers
No explanation - sounds like a bug. What version of XMBC are you using?
In the latest beta I am seeing a problem, if the notification bubble is enabled then while it is displayed, the right click does not work. Once the bubble goes away the menu shows as expected.....
Do you have the notification bubble
ls enabled? If so try turning them off and see if it makes any difference?e

Bingo: turning the notification bubble off resolved the issue. Well, you know it's a bug now for sure...
Thanks!

Re: Tray icon disabled after switching layers
oh yes: I'm using the latest version 2.10.2 running on Windows 7 Professional.
Re: Tray icon disabled after switching layers
Unfortunately it might be a bug I cant do much about - the standard windows notification causes this behaviour and last time I looked, I wasn't' able to get the right button to respond when the bubble was displayed... I will have another look - but at least I know what's actually happening, even if I cant do much about it if I continue using the windows bubble notification code that is!
