Unable to scroll in VMware Workstation

Hi,

I'm using VMware Workstation 10.0.3 on Windows 8.1 x64 and a Windows XP guest machine. Scrolling doesn't work inside the VM unless I exit XMouse Button Control after which scrolling starts working immediately.

Is there any way we can fix this?

Thanks Phil, I tried searching first but after the first attempt it said I didn't have permission or something or other so I opened a new post.

Thanks for the links, I understand it's probably due to a change Microsoft has made, will give the workaround a shot

Strange how search didn't work - I might have to investigate that one but the workaround has been working for me for several years. Its a shame wee need a "work around" but its better than tyhe alternative of it not working!

Sorry to post in this topic, but i have been looking for this too. I use vmware player & it is a nuisance to not able to scroll.

Created a profile, for the 'vmware-vmx' process, not the 'vmware player' process & disabled the scroll under the window & it worked.

I use my guest window in Full screen always so no active window problem for me. I guess in a way this workaround is actually a solution for me.
