Additional LPTx-Ports on PCI-Cards
I am using the HighRez-Driver on Win7(x64). Everything works fine on the built-in standard-port LPT1. It is possible to add a PCI-Card to get additional parallel-ports? How should I tell the Driver which port should be used, e.g. LPT3 instead of LPT1. I am asking this, because newer PCs have omitted the parallel-port and adding a PCI-card might solve the problem. Let me know, whether this configuration is supported and how it should be configured. Thanks.
Re: Additional LPTx-Ports on PCI-Cards
In essence, it might work, it might not, it depends on the PCI port and how it exposes the LPT to the system.
And the InpOut32 driver was only ported to x64 by me, it is not written by me.
For example: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=404&p=5698&hilit=PCI#p5698
and this viewtopic.php?f=7&t=976&p=4842&hilit=PCI#p4842
Personally I don't have any PCI/PCI-E LPT ports and I don't use LPT ports any more. I use USB devices which need InpOut32 (I don't mean USB->LPT ports - they DO NOT work with InpOut32!).
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,
Thanks for your reply. We will try to use the proposed PCI-Board. I will we keep you informed.
