X Mouse don't work in Warcraft III

In warcraft 3 thenum pad numbers are in use in the game so I map the mouse button 4 and mouse button 5 on numpad 7 and 8 respectively. It works fine anywhere else but when I press the mouse buttons in the game it don't work help

Sorry I'm not sure how much I can help with this one as I dont have that game. I can say however, that many games don't like injected key inputs and go to many efforts to prevent them working. I seem to recall others having mixed success with Warcraft.

So, do other simulated keys work in the game? i.e. is it just the {NUMx} inputs?

What version of XMBC?
What configuration (default or a application specific profile?)
Debug logging might be useful to try and establish if XMBC is sending the right key sequence to the right window.

I dont have warcraft 3 so it wont be too easy for me to diagnose - I seem to recall last time there was some sort of trial - is that still the case or am I mixing it up with WoW?????
