Select All Ctrl+A and Email Address

Post by hooligan »

I think X-Mouse is great, but there's a couple of things that I'd like to do
but can't seem to get round them.

First- is Select All Ctrl+A, I tried typing {CTRL}{A} but this just does not seem to work, do'nt know if it's my system or not.

Second- is I thought I'd maybe use one of my buttons as a shortcut to type
out my email address, the problem is the @, having to use the shift key to type in it comes out as -
someone'hotmail.co.uk
instead of
someone@hotmail.co.uk

any suggestions.

OK, the first one is easy.. I just tried it and it works for me..

Just use {CTRL}A
ie. don't put the A inside {}

Let me know if that works for you.

The second one.. ohh that's weird!... I've never noticed that but it looks like a bug to me.. I just tried entering

someone{shift}@hotmail.co.uk

and that almost works except everythin after the shift is 'shifted' ie upper case or > instead of . :(

Thats the problem with the simulated keystrokes - there is no way of grouping the items to simulate... I guess a solution would be something like XML or a better tagging system would work.. so we could do...
someone<shift>'</shift>somewhere.com

Or of course, just fix it so it works with @ lol...

Anyhow, I will add that to the todo list (which is getting rather large now).. I guess I will have to devote some time to XMouse soon!

Hi, well this one puzzled me enough to fix it.
Give 1.35 a try and it should fix the @ issue :)

Thanks,
Phil

No problem.
If only all requests/bugs were as simple as that one :)
