Wheel button support.

Does X mouse allow assignment of the wheel button? (pressing down on the wheel)

Yes you can map the wheel button with XMouse. Generally, the wheel is knows as the 3rd button and XMouse is capable of mapping the first 5 buttons.

XMouse doesn't however allow mapping of the actual scrolling of the wheel to other funcitons.
