cannot install under vista (32 bit)

I'm trying to run installdriver on a system running windows vista business edition (32 bit edition), installed in dutch.
Installdriver fails running (error in configuration 'naast elkaar' (naast elkaar in dutch means side by side !), application log states (translated from dutch) :

Can't create activation context for C:\\...\\installdriver.exe - can't find dependent assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT.processorarchitecture=\"x86\".publickeyToken=\"...\",type=\"Win32\",version=\"8.0.50727.62\"

I'm running as a system administrator.

Any idea ?

Ahhh \"side by side\" error... I've seen that somewhere else... I think its something to do with the manifest or something - but I've never been able to reproduce it.

Is there any way you can install the driver by other means (all you need to do is run the application that uses InpOut32 as administrator once and that should install the driver. after that you can run as standard (limited) user).

If not, I will try and investigate the side by side error further - I guess its possible that it's to do with localised versions of windows seeing as I have never had that problem...

I've just had a thought.

Do you have the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 runtimes (redistributable package) installed on your system? It's very possible that InstallDriver needs them and you don't yet have them.

You can get them from Microsoft here

If it dosnt work after that let me know.
