"minimize window" at task bar: making taskbar weird

Post by jokester »

thanks for this app, it's convinient and compact.
except for..

I have been assigning "minimize window" to a mouse button.
if I click the button when cursor is pointing to component of taskbar, the corresponding component of taskbar
become malfunctioning , some component even become empty gray label-like thing.
such components include : start-button, process list, taskbar icon .
kill explorer.exe process & re-launch it manually will fix this.

windows 7 SP1 x64, with xmouse 2.0

not really sure about mechanism of the software, is it trying to minimize a taskbar component?regarding to taskbar is not a common "window", shall taskbar be an exception of such action?

Oh yes, your right. This is a side effect of the new stuff in 2.0 where it works with the window under the cursor... Indeed there will have to be some exceptions made for this and maybe a few other actions in this case.

I will add it to the todo list for v2.1.

Thanks,
Phil

well may I add a bit: a user-space solution.
I actully do not need minimizing a explorer window, so I added such rule to x-mouse:

for explorer.exe : press CTRL-W when mouse button 5 got pressed.

on my machine , when pressed in a folder-view window, it closes file explorer as i intended ,
and when (mistakenly) pressed on taskbar, not getting taskbar weird(actually it seems nothing happened) :birth:
