Copy & Paste

Post by cableghost »

I would like to set an action which allows me to Copy highlighted text with one mouse button click, pause action, then Paste the copied text when the mouse button is clicked again.

I cannot seem to script this...is it not possible?

No this is not possible.
It is not possible to change the action of a single button without using layers but that would require some other action.

The best you could do (and its not really close) using simulated keys, would be to
copy -> pause 1.. second -> paste
{CTRL}C{WAIT:1}{CTRL}V (run in another thread as button is pressed/released)

But that will only happen on the first click. Right now you cant chain[/make it change] actions on the next click.

And whilst it sounds useful, I'm not sure if that would even be possible to add - it would certainly be a major change.

Thanks,
Phil
