occasional laggy mouse, have to restart Windows then

Post by a500 »

XMBC Version 2.20.5
Installed Version
Mouse Logitech M165
Windows 11 64Bit 24H2
Intel Corei9, 16GB RAM
First Install, no upgrade of XMBC
Using it for a couple of weeks.
Language: german

XMBC is a very useful tool. However, it happens sometimes, that once of a sudden the mouse cursor gets very laggy, to an extent, that the computer gets unusable. Restarting XMBC or quitting doesn't fix the problem. I have to restart Windows.

Is there any way to get around this issue?

First thing I would suggest is to try the latest beta.

A lot of effort and improvements have gone into that but if the problem still occurs it will make diagnosis much easier (I was planning to release it soon so you could wait, but it would probably be better to know before release if there is still something still wrong!

No need to uninstall… just turn on check for beta updates in settings then check for updates and it will seamlessly upgrade! Or download the beta installer and it will also upgrade!

But uninstalling will work too (just extra steps!)

Thanks, but i had it already uninstalled when i read your post. But that's ok, the portable version works just fine. Great program. By the way, before i found your tool i had a look at the 135 Megabyte (LOL) customizing program by the mouse manufacturer.
