shake mouse pointer to locate

Post by AndyK »

XMBC Version: 2.21 beta 40
Installed or Portable version: installer
Windows Version: 11 pro 24H2
Mouse Information (brand/model): Logitech MX Anywhere 3
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: German

I would like to have a function where I can shake the mouse to enlarge the mouse pointer so that I can quickly find the mouse pointer on several screens. Is this possible with XMBC?

like on a Mac

Thanks

I use Microsoft's PowerToys for that. Have you tried it?
It highlights the mouse cursor in a "spot light" on shake (or other activation). I does not change the cursor size (I don't think that easily possible in Windows).

I cant really see the point (in this case) of including it in XMBC seeing as PowerToys is free and has loads of other useful things. I did consider adding the code into XMBC as there is some functional crossover (and in the future may be useful for other "gestures", but that will take me significant time, which I don't have, and when I do have time, I'm concentrating on bug fixes and simple/quick additions that cant already be done elsewhere easily/free. So while it may happen one day, it wont be quick (I mean, its taken almost 2 years just to get a minor release out with no massive new features, just bug fixes - and I'm still not there with that, so I have to be realistic here).

Edit: I've not seen it on Mac and I'm not seeing your image/link? (I do have a mac mini now but only for compiling IOS apps (built in Windows/Visual Studio - so all remote), I don't actually use it for anything else lol).
