Trying to mimic Firefox on Edge not working
XMBC Version: 2.20.5
Installed or Portable version:inst
Windows Version: 8.1
Mouse Information (brand/model):
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc):
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): no
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?): no
How long have you used XMBC?: 6 years
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: eng
Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).: I have always used Firefox and occasionally Chrome. Recently they were having problems playing Youtube video and I found Edge played it OK. In Firefox, if I'm on Youtube I have the side buttons programmed to be the same as the left, right arrow keys. So, if I'm on youtube ,one side button moves the video forward by 5 seconds and the other backwards by 5. I duplicated the xmouse button assignments from firefox to edge. In Edge though when i press 1 side button it moves the page back to the previous page. Like if Im on a youtube video and press a side button it moves back to, for example, the youtube search page. Any tips on whats going wrong here?

Re: Trying to mimic Firefox on Edge not working
First guess is that you have setup the profile for something called "miscroftedge" but edge's executable is msedge.exe so I guess its not activating the profile, thus your sending the default buttons which are back/forward.
When you setup the profile, you can just select a running application from the list, that should ensure you get the correct executable name!
For now, simply change the process from "microsoftedge" to "msedge.exe" and see if that fixes it!

Great! That works. I was actually trying to figure out what Edge was labeled as but didn't figure it out. Thanks!!
