Auto Hide Cursor when a key is pressed

Is there a way or an option to auto hide the mouse cursor every time I press a key on the keyboard? I used autohidemousecursor program before installing XMBC and worked just fine, but now it doesn't work anymore because of XMBC. Thank you

No there is no such option. So you would like to simply hide the cursor? I will add this to the list, and take a look and see what can be done. No promises on time scales though.

I don't know why XMBC might conflict with autohidemousecursor, I guess it uses mouse/keyboard hooks just like XMBC but such programs should be able to run and hook the mouse/keyboard without interfering with each other. Of course if you have remapped buttons, it will potentially dump the mouse message before the other program get is, so maybe that is the problem?

What is the outcome? Does it not work at all, or not re-show the cursor properly?

I checked better and I have verified that autohidemousecursor and XMBC can operate perfectly together. So no rush to implement this option. It's nice for me to hide the cursor when you press a key because many times you click to select and then you have to type. The cursor simply hides the field. That's it. Very basic but useful. You can try autohidemouse if you want to have an experience before implementing.

I had a quick look, but I cant figure out how that utility works, so replicating its behaviour in XMBC will not be as simple as I thought). I suspect it may be making the cursor transparent, but there seems to be three methods, but no detail as to how they work (and as its not open source, I cant have a look at ho they do it). So as you have got it working, I wont worry about it for now!
