Modifier Key and Simulated Key Issue

Post by CatgirlFireball »

Please fill in this template when posting!
XMBC Version: V2.20.5
Installed or Portable version: Installed
Windows Version: 11
Mouse Information (brand/model): Logitech Pro Wireless
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc):
How long have you used XMBC?: On and off 4 year
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: English UK

Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).:

So I want to be able to switch my Mouse Button 5 to simulate the ALT key so I can press ALT+Numpad 1-9 etc. However I also want to set it up so when I click ALT on MB5 it also switches too layer 2 to revert some mouse wheel options back to default.

I've set up ALT in the modifier keys to activate layer 2 however my problem seems to be when I click ALT using MB5 it won't switch layer, it'll only do that if I press the ALT key on keyboard. Any help?

That's odd, did you jut choose layer <x> from the dropdown menu for button 5?
