X-Mouse crashing after updating from 2.19.2 to 2.20.4

Post by dnsn »

XMBC Version: 2.20.4
Installed or Portable version: Installed
Windows Version: Windows 10 Home 22H2
Mouse Information (brand/model): Logitech G305
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc): Ryzen 5 4500U, 8GB 2666MHZ RAM
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): Yes, I updated from 2.19.2 to 2.20.4 (I haven't used X-Mouse in a while)
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?): no
How long have you used XMBC?: 3 years
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: British English

Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).:

Whenever I use the following configuration, it works fine then after a minute, my mouse lags/stutters for around 5 seconds and then X-Mouse stops working. My PC reverts back to the standard windows configuration even though X-Mouse is still active. The X-Mouse icon is still showing in the taskbar and task manager. When I try to open X-Mouse, nothing happens so I have to forcefully close it in task manager to open it again.

I have been using x-mouse for years and this has not happened before. I stopped using this program for a while so when I started using it again, it updated from 2.19.2 to 2.20.4 so I am assuming the recent updates within the past 4 months have caused this.

Configuration:

Left Button - Simulated Keys: (repeat) [{LMB}]
Right Button - Left Click
Middle Button - Right Click

Can you try 2.21 Beta 19 where I believe I have fixed this (actually in 2.21 Beta 16). If it is still a problem in there, then I need to know about it so I can investigate before I release!
