I just noticed I had a "NEW" notification (1) and, a Private Message which was not there a few days ago from Anonymous dating back to Monday, May 02, 2016 2:56 pm "Thank you for registering." I clicked on the message, and the message it not there.

I suspect a forum bug, or someone attempting to exploit the database(?), or I am blind and was there all these years.
I'm somewhat familiar with phpBB, though I haven't messed around with it since early 2000. It could be code/db injection.

More likely it was a spam bot that got in and send some PM's I banned and deleted (hence from anonymous) but it could be worse, I'll take a look through the logs. I do need to find some time upgrade the forum software! Very odd being dated so old though - that's a bit suspicious I agree!
