How long have you used XMBC?: first install just now
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: de, de (german)
Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).:Hello to all,
I assigned the direction keys up and down to the mousebuttons 4 and 5. Therefor I used Simulated Keys with Option "during". Regardless of which application I use, only a single short keystroke is performed when I hold the mouse button down for a while.
Actually I need this for the game Zanzarah, but the same behavior can also be seen in Windows Editor, Firefox, PDF reader etc.
Any idea? Or is it a bug?
Can´t get the during option to work

Re: Can´t get the during option to work
During just means that the key is held down for as long as the button is held down... Its up to Windows/The application how it then interprets that - and I guess for whatever reason, the keyboard "autorepeat" is not invoked.
If you want the key to repeat, there is method 6 which has a built in repeat while the button is held down - have you tried that instead?

Re: Can´t get the during option to work
Thanks for the fast reply.
I found out, that auto-repeat is a driver/hardware feature and has therefor to be simulated with a loop.
When I used method 6, the figure in the game did not run evenly. It ran and stopped all the time.
Update: After I set a 5ms delay everything runs fine.
Thanks again for your very good software.

Re: Can´t get the during option to work
Glad you managed to get it working - thanks for the info about adding the small delay (that often works - XMBC can be too quick sometimes )
