What windows are you using, XP, Vista or 7?

There is an issue with Vista/7 where it loads XMBC too early before the desktop is finished loading and the icon does not show in the system tray (even though it is running). But that is a completely different problem (I think :))

Yepp, I'm running Win 7 x86.
The problem with the disappeared icon I had just once I think.
Oh, and now again. It seems I don't realize it the other times, because I have it in the hidden section in the tray.

Scroll wheel sensitivity?

Post by wygit »

Sorry if this has been asked ( I did search first ) but is there any way to adjust the scroll wheel sensitivity?

In Firefox, one 'click' (it's not a smooth scroll mouse) scrolls the page 6 lines, 8 lines in Textpad, and in Tweetdeck, it scrolls the screen by more than a page.

Right now I have the problem again. XMBC isn't reacting at all. No "special clicks" get recognized, disabling XMBC isn't working but I can go into the settings menu.
I enabled the debug log.
Here is an extract from the very end:

Code: Select all

And again the same problem.
It began after returning back to the notebook after some time.

OK Thanks for the logs, I'm away on holiday for a few weeks so I cant do anything at least until I return, however, if its "unable to remove the hook" that suggests it was unable to set the hook - although it does not say that which is rather odd.

I will have a look when I can - and I will fix the month in the log too (its probably going from 0 to 11 not 1 - 12 :))

Thanks,
Phil

I use window 7 and a trackball Kensington. There wont no update software for this trackball working with vista or Windows 7. The software house has no intention to update it. Every people in the world owner of this trackball are using your software, with vista and W7 (thank you for it). In the original driver of the trackball for windows XP there was more options that your software doesn't has. For example you can set a combination of 2 trackball botton while pressing the botton Command or Alt or Shift. Eg: Command botton + left botton + right botton; and assign to this combination a command such as "scroll" "paste"....It should be great if your software was able to have this option. I suppose it desn't have it !!!!!
Thank you for your work.

Follow the links of the trackball and the drivers for windows

I think my request is similar to mario's, but is it possible to add functions for when the Left + Right mouse buttons pushed together?

Maybe something like this?

I think you are talking about button chordin, and it is something that has been asked before but it is notso easy toimplement outside of a driver because timing becomes all important and the software needsto determineif it is a single button or multiples, adding unwanted delays betwwen pressing the button and windows recognising it.

That is why it does not support it. really this needs to be done at the low level driver staage where timing can be accuratly measured.

If I can think of a way of doung this without unwanted delays, i will look into it

Thanks,
Phil

I guess that is bound to happen when you call the thread "feature request" :D
Anyway, I'm glad the app selector is what you were looking for!

Thanks,
Phil
