Want to map Left ALT to Middle Mouse - How?

Post by cramlow »

This mouse app seems robust enough to map the middle mouse button press to left ALT but nothing I've tried works.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Can't get this to work. Maybe too complicated. Don't know what you mean by method 3 (during)....any further ideas are appreciated.

I just want the ALT key to swap for middle mouse button when pressed. It's for a game which uses ALT as a primary key I'd like to move to mouse middle button when pressed down.

thank you,

Method 3 (during) is the choice you make in the simulated keystrokes configuration window - there are 8 or 9 methods, and you probably want to choose method 3 (during) which means that the key will be held down while the mouse button is held down (as the user guide should explain).

However, many games don't work with / block simulated input to prevent cheating (you didn't say which game which makes it impossible to know one way or another, but mostly online/browser games that have a multiplayer theme are the ones most likely to ban/block simulated input) - so maybe that is why it is not working.
