Zooming with Adobe Illustrator / Indesign

Post by covaxn »

Hey all,
I am new here, so I would like say hello to everybody.
I also want to say THANK YOU Phil, for this great piece of software. Its incredible useful for my daily work.
Don't know how I could work without it before :D

Now, I have a little problem:
I would like to use my scroll wheel as a zoom tool for Illustrator and Indesign.
To activate the zoom-In-tool, the buttons: CTRL+SPACE must be hold. Then the left mouse button must be dragged (while holding it) to the left.

I already tried this command, but it doesnt work.
3 (During):
{CTRL}{SPACE}{LMB}{MADD:10,0}

Do you have any solutions?

Thank you very much in advanced

Im away on holiday right now so I cant do much. You could try adding some delays {WAITMS100} in between the CTRL and SPACE and MMB but I think the problem may be with the MADD as that will snap the cursor direct to a new position rather than smoothly move it there.... It may not be possibile.
If you just do {CTRL}{SPACE}{LMB} and then manually move the mouse when that is triggered, does it zoom?

Im back next week so can perhaps assist more then (although I dont have those apps)

Thanks,
Phil
