Help with button chording

Post by LilWeenus »

I have an idea to make two chordings that would be useful in game.

If I'm pressing MB4 + LMB is repeatedly clicks LMB.

So when I'm holding down one of my side buttons and my left click, I want it to basically be an auto clicker.

Should be possible.
For button 4, select "Button Cording" and in the chord config window, for button 1, select "Simulated keys" type {LMB} in the simkey config field and select method "Repeatedly while held"

Only question will be does the game work with simulated input or not (some do, many don't as they consider it cheating!)

It doesn't seem to be working. I did it like you said and it doesn't start clicking. Something else to add is that while testing, it seems to break and I can't click out of the window on my taskbar. I've been fixing it by doing Ctrl + Alt + Del and clicking in the blank space then pressing cancel.

OK Looks like you may have found a bug - repeating simkeys is simply not working in button chording... and more to the point, I think it presses the button down and never releases it (hence the getting stuck down and requiring ctrl+alt+del - well done for spotting that :)).

I'll have to add this one to the "to fix" list for 2.19 beta 1...

Regards.

Ah well you're welcome, I guess. I'll have to just have my auto clicker set to my side mouse button like I used to have it for now until this gets fixed.
