Re: 4th and 5th button can not be remapped
Hi, XMBC intercepts the Windows mouse messages, so if the dropdowns are not highlighting in the setup window (assuming XMBC is not disabled) then that suggests that the windows messages are not being sent from the mouse driver OR are being intercepted by something else before XMBC gets to see them.
Do the other buttons still highlight orange in the setup window when you click them?
Are you able to configure your mouse buttons using the mouse manufactures software/drivers, of switch profiles on the mouse itself with another button? For example, my Logitech G9 has 3 built in profiles that change the button behavior. These profiles can be changed using Logitech's software and if the buttons 4 and 5 are not setup "correctly" then windows does not see button 4 and 5 messages and nor does XMBC -- because Logitech's software changed the buttons to be something other than button 4 and 5!
XMBC 2.15 is several years old (was released Feb 2017) and quite a bit has changed since then but basic button behaviour should still be working of it would be all over the forums and never have got as far as release.
Did you upgrade from 2.15 straight to 2.18? or did you also use 2.16, 2.17?
I suspect this is something individual to you/your device/your software configuration and finding that may be quite tricky.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: 4th and 5th button can not be remapped
Thank you for your answer! CSL do not support mouse driver or program or I couldn't find the CSL vertical optical mouse's driver, so I use Windows' drivers.
I always have used portable version and, from the last update, I deleted the older version folder.
All other buttons highlight (1st, 2nd, middle button, wheel up, wheel down) when I press them but 4th and 5th buttoms do nothing.

Re: 4th and 5th button can not be remapped
Do you want a link to the older version(s) so you can roll back and test to see if they still work (it would be useful to know).
Here are the last three...
2.15: https://www.highrez.co.uk/scripts/downl ... on=2150000
2.16.1: https://www.highrez.co.uk/scripts/downl ... on=2160100
2.17: https://www.highrez.co.uk/scripts/downl ... on=2170000
Let me know if they work better - if they do then it must be an XMBC bug. If they don't work, then maybe we need to look elsewhere.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: 4th and 5th button can not be remapped
Any joy with the older versions?
There seem to have been a few issues with buttons 4 and 5 this week - nothing yet that I have been able to reproduce (which is annoying and makes finding the problems rather tricky) - so it would be useful to know if this is a similar case or different (if it works with the older version then I'd say its a similar issue, if it does not work with the older version then its not the same problem).
Thanks,
Phil
