And i know that XMBC has Un-translatable Messages in recent versions.

- Not exist in the Language template file -
"Select a folder to store the log file..." (in folder select dialogbox)
-> add in #Section: Updates & Logging settings tab

"Please select a folder to open" (in folder select dialogbox)
-> add in #Section: Open Explorer at specified folder dialog

- Missed? -
#Section: Errors/Message boxes (actual messages)
"The specified profile already exists.\nYou can not add two profiles for the same application/window/region." ("two profile entrries" in the temolate)

"The specified profile already exists.\nYou can not add two profile entries for the same application/window/region//match type." (" / " in the temolate)

- Trouble -
The word "Edit" in '#Section: Context Menus' can not be translated, because same name of 'Window Class' exists (e.g. notepad.exe). If i translate it into Japanese,
"Edit" => "JAPANESE"
then, XMBC replaces all texts specified Window-Class "Edit" with "JAPANESE" at every existing profiles.
-> I suggest to replace "Edit" with "Edit..."

thanks,
suke
I get all of them (and have fixed them for the next beta) except the last one.
I dont understand - -and I tried replacing "Edit" => "" with something - and it seems to work.
Can you try and explain better - maybe a screenshot will help?

Ah - I think I found it - OK.. Well XMBC should NEVER translate the contents of the window class textbox in the "find window" window - nor any of the other text fields - so I will fix that and leave the "Edit" menu item translation as is!

Thanks,
Phil

Then maybe a form like this: Português Brasil (Portuguese Brasil) [pt-BR] or Default (English) [en-GB]. :P

My new Polish translation is based at some point on Liquid's one, but I used the template from version 2.16 beta 8/9. I've corrected and changed many things, so it's different.

By the way Phil, did you change anything in template in beta 10? I've previewed it and couldn't find any differences.

Actually i change my translation file, and XMBC replaces "Edit" in the window class textbox with "JAPANESE" every time when i open the dialog. Since "Edit" is used for window classes of various applications (e.g. file rename edit box in Explorer, various text-boxes / combo-boxes, text editor applications...), it is troublesome to come across every profile editing at XMBC.
If user closes the settings with Enter key without noticing that "Edit" has been changed, then the setting file is rewritten and the function of XMBC becomes unusable in Notepad.

Is there enough of my explanation?

Yes it is. I think I had the same problem, cuz each specific window that stopped working has an edit class, which was translated. So everytime I edited it, it stopped working, so maybe also after some restarts or something. Now I can see that it doesn't translate it and works fine. :P

Hi Phil,

is it possible to get a line break for the tooltip?
I think the tooltip is to long.

Thank you

Good question - I dont know if the tooltip control supports line breaks... If adding \n in there does not already work, then it might be a bit of a chore!

Edit: Yes - will allow new line characters (\n) in beta 11.
