hwinterface32

Hi! At the logix4u.net i found information about hwinterface32.dll. They say that it is upgraded version of inpout32.dll - the main difference is in ReadMem functions. I wanted to use this functions to find LPT addresses but hwinterface32.dll doesn't work on x64 Windows. Are you going to make your own version of hwinterface32.dll?

I'll have a look at the code from Logix4U and see if its possible to port it. The InpOut32 driver was very simple to port because it only had two or three funcitons. I am by no means a driver specialist, but I will have a look and see what I can do...

It may take a while, I havnt got any of the DDK's for XP64 installed on my machine right now...

If I dont respond within a week though, remind me :)

Thanks,
Phil

Ok, I had a look at the Logix4U site but unfortunatly the source code for hwinterface32 is not publicly available.

I have sent an email to them - maybe they will let me have access to the source so I can produce a x64 port of the driver. Maybe not.

I'll update you when I know more.

Thanks,
Phil

Ok, today I got an email from Logix4U with the source code for HWInterface.

So at some point in the not too distant future I will have a look at porting them to x64. Hopefully it will be as easy as InpOut32!

On a side not, apologies to Gor Kajafa. I was messing around with the forum software over the weekend and it appears I somehow deleted you account. Sorry about that - feel free to signup again.

Thanks,
Phil
