Hi,
I think I have found the Problem. See line 292 in file "language_template.xmbclp_sample"
there is
==> instead of
=>

the same in the French translation

French translation has been modified.
@Phil : I think there is an error on line 482 of the template :
"Task Switcher" => "" => ""

PS.: To simplify the translation work, I wrote a rudimentary "user define language" (syntax highlighter) for .xmbclp files in
Notepad++. To import it, go to menu "Language", item "Define your language...", then "Import..."
this file.

Hi Andy, the code does lookup that text but the entry in the template is missing an 'A'....
It should be
Enabling debug logging will decrease the performance of the mouse. It is recommended that you only enable this temporarily to assist in problem finding.
As such, the debug setting will not be saved.
You can fix his yourself if you want but I will update the template in the next beta.

OK The browser favourites is because your template (for some reason) has "Browser favorites" (missing the U). I checked the master template and the other language packs and they were all OK so Im not sure if it was something I fixed earlier or if you just broke your template

Magnifier Toggle... was a new action that I forgot to add to the templates.
You can add it manually

I will push out beta 7 to update the language packs fixing the various issues and update the beta version too to stop the annoying & wrong message about a new beta version!

You are right - but actually it will ignore the second => "" because once it has finished reading the expected "" => "" string it just stops.
Thanks for the notepad++ language definition (I don't know why I didn't think of that!).
EDIT: One small thing, I don't think its a good idea to put the full XMBC version (inc beta) in the description because when 2.7 comes out of beta, I don't want the template saying beta... You could just put 2.7 I guess.
I was thinking about having a separate version that gets displayed and can then check for updated languages but that's more of a big deal and I don't think its worth it right now.

I just noticed (after putting 1.7 beta 7 on-line) that there was another error in the language template....

has a comma after the ". It should be....

I fixed the templates and re-uploaded 2.7 beta 7 so if you font see that translated, grab 2.7 beta 7 again!
Hopefully there wont be any more translation issues/changes prior to releasing 2.7
