Holding+Chording algorithm ?

XMBC Version 2.20 Beta4 (installed):
Windows Version: 10:

How long have you used XMBC? 2 weeks:
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows? English:

Hi Phil!

My intention (using the holding thing):

Holding my right mouse button
1) up to 500ms: chrording (Wheel Up - Vol+, Wheel Down - Vol-, Middle click - Mute)
2) more than 500 ms - Double LeftClick

Is there a way to do so? I'd like to use my simple mouse (just 2 buttons & a wheel) to the maximum but I didn"t find the way to use holding+chording mechanics together (

thank you!

or even more opportunities:

1) holding a button up to 500 ms - chording (e.g. mouse wheel controls volume)
2) holding from 500 ms up to 1000 ms - chording (e.g. mouse wheel again but for now it controls brightness)
3) holding from 1000 ms to 1500 ms - chroding (mouse wheel controls smth else)

lots of cool opportunities to squeeze more from your simple mouse!

is this hard to implement?

Hi, I'm afraid it is not possible to chord and use button hold (or visa versa) in the same macros. That why the chording options are not available in the button held configuration, and button held not available in the chording configuration. They are mutually exclusive.

I'm not sure if it would be possible to do, but even if it were possible, it would pretty much require a rewrite of the core XMBC code - something I certainly don't have the time for these days.

Regards,
Phil
