Can you set the "Slow Down Cursor" speed somehow?

Post by Visca »

XMBC Version: 2.19.2
Windows Version: Windows 10 Pro
Mouse Information (brand/model): Logitech M500s
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc): Irrelevant
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?): NO
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?): NO
How long have you used XMBC?: 45 minutes
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: Spanish and QWERTY Keyboard with Ñ

Clear description of the problem - try and include as much information as possible, including what button and mappings you are having problems with (if applicable).:

First of all, this app is very good. Initially, I wanted to change Wheel Tilt Left and Right to Middle click, but if I did it with the official app (Logitech Options) it degenerated on some ghosting, locking the right click button down if I had the middle button down. Then I tried using AHK, but it specifically says in their documentation that the Wheel tilts works only on some devices (not on mine). My initial problem is solved with XMBC. Thank you.

Now... playing a little with the options, I saw on Settings > Modifier Keys > Other Modifiers the option for "Slow Down Cursor", which I trigger with "Pause Break" key. It doesn't show the name, but works.

BUT

It moves reaaally slowly. I'd like to adjust the speed of the Slow Down cursor.

Awesome app, thank you for making it.

You can set the cursor speeds for the "cycle cursor speed" option but I don't think you can set it for the slow down cursor. Maybe the cycle cursor speed may be a better option for you in this case - you can still trigger that with the hotkey key in the same way, but it would be a toggle (there are four speeds you can se, but of course if you only want to cycle between two speeds, just set speed 1 and 3 the same and 2 and 4 the same (but different from 1 and 3 :))!

I'm sure it will be possible to put something in the settings to define the "slow" cursor speed but that will not be as quick as the above if that works for you!
