How to run external commands/scripts when XMBC profile is activated?

Post by derei »

Is it possible to run a script or external command when XMBC is switching profiles?
My plan is to make several OpenRGB profiles and call via command line to switch them according to the active XMBC profile (for various tasks).

The only problem right now is that I can't see any option which would allow me to call a cmd file or execute any windows commands when a profile is enabled.

Suggestions appreciated.

Urm, no its probably not right now..... , But its a great idea and I can see for those with RGB configs, that could be a great little indicator/helper, so I'll see what I can do.....

I cant promise anything quickly but it will be added to the list!

I've added support for this in to 2.20 Beta 9... On the profile options tab, you can now specify a script/command to run when the profile becomes active. You can do this on a per-profile basis. I hope that works for you, seems to be good here (although I don't personally have any RGB type devices to mess with!)
