6 and 7 buttons

Post by AlexSergeev »

Good afternoon.
I did not find an answer whether it is possible to add additional buttons to those that already exist in the program. Because I have a trackball with 4 additional buttons 2 configured, and 2 I can't there are no additional windows for configuration.

Yeah, 6 Button support or more would be great. I got a Logitech G305 with 6 Buttons and would REALLY like to put a Double Click on the Button 6. I know it's possible using G-Hub but I hate the fact that it's always-online Software.

Well you clearly didn't search very well as this has been covered a multitude of times AND is in the FAQ!
But then you clearly didn't read the posting rules either, and deleted the posting template, so I guess I'm not surprised your search was fruitless!
My mouse has more than 5 buttons. How can I configure these buttons?
Can you add support for more buttons?
XMBC is currently only able to support 5 buttons primarily because the Windows mouse hooks (that XMBC makes use of to intercept the mouse button messages) only support up to 5 buttons.

XMBC is not a mouse driver, it uses windows mouse hooks to capture buttons and therefore it is only capable of responding to the messages sent (by the mouse driver) through the Windows mouse hook. The Windows Mouse hooks only support messages for the first 5 buttons. So until Windows mouse hooks recognize more buttons natively, XMBC will only ever support 5 buttons.
