Hi, apologies if this has been raised but I didn't find it.
As the title says, in the current version of X-Mouse (2.19.2), the Right Shift key is not recognised as the modifier key when the 'shift' option is selected as the modifier key.

They way I have X-Mouse set up to work is to flip the mouse scroll direction when I hold the modifier key, which I have selected as shift. This used to work perfectly as it's the horizontal scroll direction of the application I want to change, so using shift as the modifier key means I only have to press one button, which activates the 2nd layer and switches my mouse wheel so scroll horizontally instead of vertically.

However in the new version of X-Mouse, it no longer recognises when I press the shift on the right of my keyboard. It works perfectly if I use the Left Shift key, but I need it to use the Right Shift key (as my hand rests on the right of the keyboard to access all the other hotkeys for the application. This used to work fine in an older version of X-Mouse (apologies I don't remember the version, perhaps just the previous one).

My keyboard is a Microsoft digital media 3000 and I use UK English language input.

I think to fix the problem, an option to use either the right or the left shift key should be included as option to use as the modifier key - or just have it how it was when it didn't matter which shift key was pressed.

Let me know if you need any more details.

Thanks,

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention - I can confirm that the problem exists here too - and I hadn't noticed (I don't use modifier keys much myself). It certainly shouldn't have changed (it was not intentional) but there were some issues if I recall in that area so I suspect a fix for something else (may have been right alt/altGr) has messed the right shift up.

I'll add it to the list. If you want a link to an older version of XMBC in the interim, let me know.

Thanks,
Phil
