Simulated key to repeat button press not working

Post by Vinimon »

XMBC Version: 2.19.2
Windows Version: 10 pro
Mouse Information (brand/model): Mouse Gamer Dazz Fatality 3500DPI 621710
Relevant Computer Information (CPU, RAM etc):
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC? (If so, from what version?):
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? (If so, from what version?):
How long have you used XMBC?: 1 day
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: PT/BR

I'm trying to make the extra mouse button 5 to simulate many presses of mouse left button.
To do this i did the following.

Mouse button 5 : Simulated keys
Custom key :{LMB}
How to send the simulated key strokes : 6 Repeatedly while the button is down

All the other values are default

But when i test it, it is working like this

When i hold the button 5, i notice there is a single click of the left button and then it holds on the second left click

The objective was to execute like this when i hold the button 5

{LMB}{LMB}{LMB}{LMB}{LMB}{LMB}{LMB}{LMB}{LMB}{LMB}

But instead it is going like this

{LMB} (HOLD){LMB}

Anyone know if im doing something wrong?

Hi,

No that should work the way you intend it to - in fact I just tested it here (in the browser window) and it is working for me - I see the selection flash very quickly between the word I'm hovering over and the whole line... So it is sending multiple clicks (very quickly).

What is your target application? Maybe XMBC is sending the clicks too quickly and its not registering them (a bit of a wild guess)
Try {LMB}{WAITMS:100} to see if it makes any difference.

If that does not work, try turning on debug logging (settings->Updates and Logging tab), capture some log when you hold button 5, and send over the log. Make a note of the time you hold button 5 so I can find the relevant log entries easily.

Regards,
Phil
