Hi Phil, As I'm leaning, another has come across...

Show in the attachment, left click works as chording but weirdly left tilt doesn't work - what makes it work incorrectly? This time I tested in the notepad...

Does the tilt wheel work normally (not chording) if you set it to paste?
Again, working here - so no obvious answer as to why its not working for you....

You haven't tried everything, because you didn't try to answer my question....
Does the tilt wheel work normally (not chording) if you set it to paste?
As in, if you set TILT on the default profile to to paste - does that work? Maybe the problem is with TILT and not the chord - but I dont know until you answer my question!!.

Now, either way, turn on debug logging. Capture the tilt (with default profile tilt mapped to PASTE) AND the chorded tilt too. Make a note of the time that you do this so I can find the relevant log entries, send me the log file (and the times you made a note of). Then I can have a look and see if there is anything weird going on, if XMBC is seeing the tilt, if it is remapping it etc.

Thanks
Phil

Yes, tilt in default without chording works fine. How do I turn on logging, BTW? :?:

In the settings tabs, on the logging and updates tab.... Don't forget to hit OK and then APPLY the changes....
You can also open the log file from there....

And the times that it happened (that I asked you to make a note of and report)???!
NOTE: I haven't had a look yet - I'll try and do so later tonight or tomorrow.

But you have still failed to tell me the time that it happened. If you look in the log, you will see lots and lots of lines, I need to know the time (roughly) to narrow it down - for example: 16-08-2020 10:05:26 or sometime around 10:06 - anything to go on is better than nothing!

I don't get much time to spend on XMBC these days, too busy with work and other priorities at home so I can't precious time it searching through logs when you could help and tell me roughly when the problem occurred so I can find it quicker (if there is anything of note in the log file - I still havn't got round to looking!).

I appreciate that there may be an understanding issue/language barrier here - if your not sure what I mean, please ask and I will try and make it clearer!

Regards,
Phil

Hi Phil, attached is the log that only contains the chord execution -- 5th button plus left tilting. Please take your time and advice would be appreciated.

I'm not seeing any tilt related messages in there at all...

I can see at 28-08-2020 02:28:45.238 that it has sent something (probably "allxmouse") but its not clear why.

If you have edited the log, then that may be why (I didn't want you to edit the log, just make a note of and tell me the timestamps so I can locate the area of interest quickly). As I'm not seeing any evidence of the tilt wheel messages, or any other button used in conjunction with the chord so I don't understand what has send that string of inputs (allxmouse).

It might be useful to have a copy of your settings/profile too so I can see how the buttons are setup exactly which may make the log more easy to figure out.

By the way, the file you attached on the 19th Aug did not have debugging enabled so there is nothing in there of use (debug switches itself off when XMBC restarts as its rather inefficient!).

And Log16.txt you sent on the 19th is not a text file!

Thanks, on first glance, that looks good - there are some interesting errors in there that may help track the problem down. I'll try and find some time to take a more detailed look over the weekend.
