Is there a way to keep mapped button after closing XMBC?

Post by jansoftrue »

Hi, as the title says, i want to map a key or button to the mouse4 button and keep it that way even if i close the XMBC program or uninstall it. There is another program that does this for KeyBoard keys, is there a way to achieve this with XMBC? thanks in advance

No, XMBC has to be running - else how can it intercept the messages and change them?!!
But XMBC is designed to be small and low overhead - it takes a tiny amount of memory (compared to most modern applications) and minimal CPU too.
