How to hold down the left control and then release?

Post by Bren »

2.17:
Windows 10:
Logitech G602:

I am running XMBC 2.17 on Windows 10 I am physically disabled and use a chat site where you have to hold down the left control key to talk. Is there a way I can set up mouse button 4 to hold down the left control key when I press it and then release the control key when I press it again? I've read about sticky hold but just can't find the command for it.
Thank you,
Bren

Yes this should be possible...
Choose "Simulated keystrokes"
In there, type {CTRL} in the key sequence input box
In the "How to send" dropdown, select method 8 (sticky until the button is pressed again)

Let me know if you need more assistance!

Regards,
Phil
