XMBC Version: 2.18.7
Windows Version: 10
Mouse Information: Logitech Ergo Trackball
Computer Information: HP ENVY Phoenix 810-130qe
Did the problem occur after an upgrade of XMBC?: no
Did the problem occur after a Windows update/upgrade? : no
How long have you used XMBC?: 1 hour
What language and keyboard layout do you use in Windows?: English, regular
Clear description of the problem: In games I use the trackball scroll wheel button to move forward (missing middle finger on left hand, can't use the default W) -- most games, including Rage2, use the scroll wheel to cycle weapons, and most allow changing that but not Rage2. As a result, moving forward, I'm constantly accidentally changing weapons
XMBC allows me to disable the scroll wheel function in Windows, but it does not affect the scroll in Rage2. Any ideas? (The Logitech Options software allows inverting the wheel scroll but not disabling or reassigning.)
Disabling scroll wheel does not work in Rage2

Re: Disabling scroll wheel does not work in Rage2
Yes some ideas. Many games use Direct Input to capture the mouse. If this is the case, then XMBC can not block it because direct input operates at a lower level than Windows Mouse Hooks (that XMBC uses). So basically, in those cases, there is nothing that XMBC can do. The only answer would be to have some sort of mouse filter driver to block the wheel messages below even direct input. And thats not something I can offer I'm afraid.
The same goes for remapping mouse buttons in games - the original buttons cant be blocked so it gets hell'a confusing and complicated - potentially two actions running at once!
Sorry for the not so good news!

Phil
